Ever made yourself into a meme?

Real estate developer Zach Molzer did it this past week.

He invited the community to turn his unfortunate food poisoning into a meme:

The meme got rolling after Zach posted a longform post detailing his mishaps on the way to NYC. After a few followers started using Zach’s photo as a meme format, he opened up the floodgates by inviting the meme-ing. Here are some of my favorites:

Funny stuff. But the real question is: Is making yourself into a meme good for business? I would say yes. I’m guessing Zach, who has ~4,000 followers, will make some valuable connections based on the visibility this whole ordeal afforded him.
